Hello! I’m Sarah, an animator and cartoonist focused on queer narratives, genre fiction, and mythology as metaphor. I like weird fairies, weird cryptids, and soft bittersweet stories about finding your place in the world, with a dose of dumb comedy.
Find some of my more elaborate comics on Gumroad, here! And check out this cool Picrew I made for a podcast I like, I’m quite proud of it. (CW// it is a horror podcast, and a horror picrew, but the horror can be navigated around). I worked as a stop motion animator at Ozwest, Inc. for Stikbot Central until the pandemic, and started doing freelance animation and comics. In April 2018 I finished my thesis film APHELION, a 6 minute science fiction stop motion short about two characters journeying through space, and falling in love. It's a slice-of-life space adventure, about relationships between unfamiliar people, and an unfamiliar universe. I have been a sometimes-collaborator on hitRECord since 2010 under the name cacheth: my work has been published in the Tiny Book of Tiny Stories (2010, Vol. 1, 2, & 3), with it!Books, and I contributed animations to Seasons 1 & 2 of HITRECORD ON TV, and some smaller screenings like the Shorts Showcase in New Orleans. |
